This workshop provides psychoeducation on common grief presentations and utilizes the ACT Matrix to demonstrate case conceptualization and psychological interventions when working with grieving clients. The ACT Matrix is a versatile tool, which can serve both as both a discrete intervention and as a method of case conceptualization. Applied to grief and bereavement work, the ACT Matrix can be used to metaphorically understand the universal human pain of grief, conceptualize stuckness within the grieving process, and target areas of change. A recording of the event will be provided to paid participants following the event.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Create and apply the ACT Matrix to case conceptualize clients presenting with grief.
  2. Utilize the ACT Matrix as an intervention to aid grieving clients in identifying the function and workability of their behavior within the context of grief.
