About the Event
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a third-wave evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy that helps people learn to become more psychologically flexible. When people have high levels of psychological flexibility, they can act more intentionally in values-consistent, contextually adaptive ways and live more meaningful vital lives (Hayes & Smith, 2005).
This 1- hour, free, virtual introduction with ACT trainer, expert, and author, Dr. Aprilia West, will provide an overview of the fundamentals of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Learning Objectives
At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the construct of psychological flexibility
2. Recite the 6 core processes of the psychological flexibility model
3. Understand how Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) differs from traditional Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
This event is FREE to anyone interested in attending and will be held online via Zoom. Zoom link will be provided in registration confirmation AND emailed the week of the training.

About the Trainer
Aprilia West, PsyD, MT, PCC is a psychologist, coach, trainer and author, and developer of the emotion efficacy protocol.
