If you’re a clinician, coach, behavior analyst or student (under supervision) and you’re interested in leveling up your work with clients who struggle with emotional intelligence, resilience or psychological flexibility, join author and psychologist Dr. Aprilia West, PsyD, MT for a 4-part online advanced training series in the Emotion Efficacy Therapy protocol (EET).  Overview: Emotion Efficacy Therapy (EET) is a brief 8-week process-based protocol integrating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with exposure-based skills practice. This 4-part series is for providers who have either completed emotion efficacy therapy training or who have read the clinician’s guide to Emotion Efficacy Therapy (Context Press, 2016) and are looking for a safe and fun way to deepen their mastery with the protocol. The training will include a brief didactic review of the EET protocol, but will be mostly experiential so people can practice using the core emotion efficacy skills designed to help clients: -        Understand their relationship with emotion and how to identify parts of experience (Emotion Awareness) -        "Surf" through emotion pain instead of acting on urges to avoid it (Mindful Acceptance) -        Act effectively on what really matters in any situation (Values-Based Action) -        Regulate emotions to act effectively on what matters most (Mindful Coping) -        Use exposure to rewire emotional reactions to triggers and help the skills "stick" (Exposure-based skills practice)   Cost: $325 professional and $150 students. 8 CEs for this training ($15 optional fee). *Cancellations must be submitted in writing 3 days before the first session for a refund to info@socal-acbs.org  (Flyer attached for more details) Register: To register and for payment instructions click HERE
