Building the
ACT Community in
Southern California

Our Mission

Welcome to the official website of the Southern California (SoCal) Chapter of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ABCS)! We are a community of clinical and research practitioners and students interested in learning about Contextual Behavioral Science, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Relational Frame Theory (RFT). Our mission is to foster the development of functional contextual cognitive and behavioral science and practice within Southern California so as to alleviate human suffering and advance human well-being. Our chapter offers trainings and workshops covering the foundations of ACT to specialized topics relevant to contextual behavioral science in addition to other learning and practice opportunities, including Book Club and Peer Consultation Groups. We also provide the opportunity to become a SoCal Chapter Member and enjoy exclusive membership benefits.
